Sorry, I forget that you also call University 'college' in America.

I'm at a College of Further Education.
Ages 16 to 18/19. I think it's the equivalent of Highschool?
But you go here before University for two years.

I was here for 2 years, but didn't apply to uni as I didn't want to go yet. So I stayed on for a third year, started a new qualification (A Level in Religious Studies) and retook a few exams in Classical Civilisations, to boost my C Grade exam results to a higher level (and hopefully increase my B Grade qualification to an A).

I have my last exam on thursday for Religious Studies.
Then I'm done with Further Education, and in September I go to University to start Higher Education, on a three year course.
But I might stay on longer to get a post-graduates Masters Degree, and then who knows, maybe a doctorate.

I have been out for almost a month.

a week has passed since the last day of my school

My last day was on the 6th.  I'm still taking a class online, but it's not too much work, especially without normal school.

Lucky bitch, I still have 5 weeks of coursework and assessments.
This time next year I will have finished secondary school, the year 11's went on study leave about 3 weeks ago.

11 more days to go!!!!!!!
6 days where I actually have to go to school.
I got a buncha exams. Blehug. My body is freed on the 27th.

i got a comment regarding studying.

IIIIIIII consider studying as re-reading notes or textbook.
like cramming before a test.
but everyone uses the term to refer to simply doing homework and assignments.
i feel thats wrong.

i essentially never bisjac version of studied my entire life lol. i would do assignments last minute, leaving what was needed fresh in my mind for a test :D
Right? I was asked by an advisor when registering for my college classes how long I study a week and I was going to just throw out like 4 hours to make a good impression, but the other kid and her started suggesting numbers like 20-30 hours a week. I was like holy stuff, who the forget has the time to do their work and other stuff, then read crap for 30 hours a week?

I assume they were talking about the non-bisjac version of studying though.

my last day was on June 13th

well a university is a type of college. we dont want to associate all the community colleges on the same level as proper high learning XD

uh sorry what that has nothing to do with the names given to schools in america?
college = one "school"
university = a collection of colleges

i.e. dartmouth COLLEGE (ranked #10 in USA by usnews, a really good school) is a college because it has no divisions between its departments. this is common in liberal arts colleges as they tend to like to integrate different sections of their academic programs together.

the correlation between high level schools and being named "university" as opposed to "college" has everything to do with the fact that they decide to split their departments into separate colleges so that they can have separate more focused classes

but you know, we're clearly separating non-community colleges from colleges

Schools can name themselves whatever they want, Baldwin-Wallace College in my area recently renamed itself to Baldwin-Wallace University to make themselves seem prestigious.
