For the price at least? I plan to dual boot it with Arch Linux.
I also plan to get an external DVD/CD drive and a wireless mouse.

That has a slow Celeron CPU. You can probably find a dual core Pentium for that price.

This.

I've had a computer with a celeron once. It has as much processing power as a piece of celery.

Can you guys suggest me a better computer for the same price? (Preferrably on the microsoft store)

I really want a Win8 and Arch dual boot with a touch screen.

Touch screen is not necessary though if it allows for a better CPU.

i need a good laptop for $600 my goal is to play dayz, arma, stalker and a little more

Convenience and portability.

what do you plan on doing with this laptop anyways.

just web browsing or what

Web browsing, android development (just getting into java now), general entertainment, Unixfapping, maybe playing Minecraft or Blockland along with some old emulators. I can currently do all of that just fine with my current Arch laptop which has been in my family for years. However, it has a broken battery and needs to be plugged in or it will literally immediately die. I also volunteer at my local church doing A/V things, so I need a laptop that is capable of displaying 3D slide transitions in 1080p on an external screen. Since my laptop turns off every time you unplug it, that's not very convenient.

Also it's like six years old and used to belong to my mother who ran Windows Vista on it.
