ps4 and xbone are more like last gen. building a comparable pc should be easy and cheap.

A hundred dollar CPU and GTX 750Ti should do the trick.

look up "$20 scrap pc"

ps4 had an 8core 1.6
(with hyper threading a 4core to fake that 8) the cheapest i5 is more then twice as fast

and ps3/4 dosnt even use 8 since 2 cells/cores are reserved for backup and OS.
so its really using an 6core 1.6

i didnt even look up amd models. im sure they get even cheaper

ans ps4 has a better gpu then xbone, the  HD 7870 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131563&cm_re=HD_7870-_-14-131-563-_-Product)

and thats complete garbage lol. can easily beat that on pc at a low price

I don't understand why anybody buys Intel CPUs. The newest Intel CPU (6 cores, 3.6-4 GHz) costs more than the AMD FX-9590 (8 cores, 4.7-5 GHz). ???

Iirc didn't the ps3 have an 8 core?

well they have the best tech but the prices aren't even remotely competitive to amd

Intel uses much less power/performance and puts out much less heat (look at TDP). Also, the high end i7's perform MUCH better than the high end FX octo cores. Useful in laptops and beast rigs. AMD is the budget king however. If you don't your computer sounding like an F-18, go with AMD octo.

But how? Like, technically what makes the difference there?

Intel has designed their CPU's architecture to be as efficient as possible.

AMD added more cores.

Not bashing on AMD, going for an FX 8350 in my next build.
