[MASTERMIND]
Welcome... to Mastermind! The classic game is now on the forums, again, after a successful original run. Most of you should know how this is played, but just in case, I will go over the rules.
I will generate a random code that I will not reveal to you. Your goal is to break this code. How? Easy. The first person will make a guess, for instance, 123.
I will then compare that number to the secret code, which, for sake of argument, is 142. There are three colors: red, amber, and green. Red means the number is not in the code. Amber means it is in the code, but in the wrong place. Green means that the number is correct. Also, you can only make a certain number of guesses until you lose the game - 10, to be exact. Alright, so here is my response.
[123]
9 GUESSES REMAIN
Since the 1 was in the right place, it was green. There is also a 2 in the code, but it was in the wrong place, so it was amber. There is no 3 in the final code, so it is marked red. You, at this point, wouldn't change the 1, but would move the 2 over to where the 3 is, because it's the only other place. The 3 is removed altogether and you take a shot in the dark and say 4. Your guess is 142. Because this is the correct code, I will respond:
[142]
CODE BROKEN
Or something like that. Also, there are zeroes. Let's begin, shall we?
[****]
ENTER CODE
SPECIAL RULE: "5-DIGIT" - Ten times the combinations.
