Author Topic: My car got hit by a deer last night.  (Read 2354 times)

As Ide said, drive better. I live in the woods and we see families of deer coming out at night out of the blue and we never hit them.
You know, they don't always jump out 100 feet up the road. Sometimes they can literally jump into your car.

What are you going to do?  Tie it to a lasso and hunt a deer with that?

i legit lol'd at this

The deer ran INTO THE loving CAR.
We had stopped, and the stupid forgeter ran INTO THE CAR.

he said like 10 times he wasn't driving. like as in the deer went up to his car and hit it. what's so hard to understand.

I have deer in my backyard literally every single day, and I've already seen one this morning.  And I've lived here for five years and neither I nor my parents have ever hit a deer on these roads.

Last time a deer was hit was when I was a baby when my parents hit one in one of my dad's demo cars (Dodge Stratus) from a car dealer he worked at.  That would have been somewhere in the window of 1997-98.

People shouldn't leave drugs where animals can get into them.

I'd shoot back with some off the wall comment but then I remembered I live in the backend of North Carolina. The deer prob got into a hemp plant.

You know, I know this. We've had them jump right in front and still not hit them. Only once in my life has my dad/mom hit a deer, my dad hit one a couple years back because there was dense fog + icyish road.

You know, I didn't say right in front, I said into.

You know, I didn't say right in front, I said into.
You know, you could have been more specific. Into can mean right infront, onto, or literally in your car.

Remembered two more stories:

My great-grandfather (RIP) hit a deer in his Chrysler New Yorker.  Deer instantly died and its leg came right through the windshield, which very well could have impaled any of the occupants.

Also, some family friends hit a deer recently in their Volkswagen station wagon.  The window shattered and the deer literally exploded into a mess of gore before entering the car .  The car was completely totaled and everyone was covered in blood and literal guts.  The four year old boy was so freaked out that he wet his pants and threw up.
