i don't really look at my keyboard to type anyways, i just occasionally glance down at it to orient myself. i've pretty much always typed with only one hand so i have pretty good spatial awareness when it comes to typing.

You're not supposed to look at a keyboard while you type, that's not even a challenge.

Don't look at your screen either. Everyone makes typing mistakes, and with your eyes closed you're unlikely to catch them, touch typist or not.
