Tom sits down with Charles, counting the supplies. Charles seems to be pointing at the tarps, saying something about them. You sit down on a crate and start poking at the ground with a stick, drawing a map of Utopia.
It's situated on a peninsula that broadens at the base and at the end, with a slightly narrower range of hills in between. At the western end of the peninsula, at the end, there is Victory City, or rather the ruins of it. Redwood Cove to the East, of Victory City, also in ruins. The Greenwood Borough, to the south, in ruins, and finally Sugarcane Beach, the high-end south west borough of Victory City. The area was enclosed in a huge wall shortly before the worst happened. To the southeast, near the neck of the peninsula is Auburn, a small town midway through the island. The FF had not attacked this area, let alone any area with significant force such as was seen at Victory City. Finally, in the East, near the border is Vaughton, a heavy industry and shipping city. There are numerous other small towns, but this is all that is seen. At the eastern border, UN forces have kept Utopia secluded from the rest of the world. No one enters, no one leaves, though some escape by boat.
The hills are home to a large forest. There are many groups of survivors hidden here. Most of them are indeed unfriendly, but some are indifferent. The FF has under several occasions tried to invade the forest to clear any threats, but each time it has been unsuccessful. It is at times like these that the survivors unite, shake hands, do away with the FF scum, divide up the spoils left behind by them, and go about their way. You wish it would happen more often.
There is a rail line heading through the forest from VC, to Vaughton, and while the FF tried to weaponize trains and extinguish any rebellions, the rebels were quick to demolish the railways so that the FF could not get to Vaughton or Auburn.
You finish drawing the mildly elaborate map when steel-toed boots trample on top of it.
Michael: "WHAT THE FU-"
Aliza: "Take it."
You look up. Aliza is looking away from you, but holding out your rusty nail club.
"Thanks" you say hesitantly, thoroughly annoyed by that lady's rudeness as you take the club from her hand.
Ask bernie what's are we planning next?
You decide to get up and talk to Bernie.
"Hey Bernie?"
"Yeah?" he says, still poking at the fire, not turning away, entranced by its glowing embers.
"What's planned up next?"
"We'll discuss it at the meeting tonight."
With that, there's nothing for you to really do. Charles and Tom are inspecting the bounty, Aliza seems to be keeping guard, and Burnie is now setting up a kettle for boiling water to sterylize it.
