Only difference is that 10,000 Pounds is the equivalent to 17k USD. For people who are permanent residents in the UK and/or citizens - university is cheaper than here in the states for one reason: because they pay much higher taxes, and they get a great deal of things with the money they get from paying their taxes. While in America, as someone who is middle-class you pay close to what an average Brit pays in income tax (28%-33%) and get not a dime with your tax money.

the universities are charging as much as the market can bear, where the money is then lined in the administrations pocket

I agree, it's why so many American kids are now doing their studies elsewhere in Canada where tuition is 2x less than here.

jesus christ don't actually major in videogame design. I'm not sure what the employment rates are like in London for game designers but that is a useless degree in the United States

If you can get into MIT and you family makes less than $75k a year, you get a full ride no matter what.

Plus MIT and other top-tier schools and ivy league schools offer very generous financial aid that is 100% need-based.

hopefully you come out not a huge egotist

I tought the title said furling. It made me feel all warm inside that he was going to a university cos I associate him with dyslexic handicaps [not to be mean or anything, its just hard to read his posts]. Then I saw it was furdle and thought "oh"

hope you take "ego management 101"

in all seriousness have fun and learn lots

DK has an amazing government welfare system, schooling is free, healthcare is way above worldwide standards (and it's free). I'd move there if they offered dual citizenship's.

So are you learning C# or something
