Tristan, when you take notes, do you write in full sentences or bullet points? If you had to write a 10 mark question about metallic bonding for a chemistry exam, would you rather respond in bullet points or essay format?
Greentexting is convenient. As humans, we like to 'chunk' information. It is easier to type out a long story in the form of 10 short, descriptive, punchy statements than in 10 connected clauses and sentences. Acronyms such as 'mfw' are useful to express facial expressions that we obviously cannot express through text easily (and, also, originates from an imageboard). Same thing with yfw, we can really easily express an emotion in response to a particular stimulus in an easy and descriptive way.
Is there any particular reason that you DON'T like it (other than: it sux)? I love it, it's easy as forget to read, allows for creative and humorous adaptation, more descriptive and understandable than normal writing, I'd imagine it would be useful for people who suffer from ADHD, ect. It's just generally pretty convenient.
