Author Topic: Lost Activation Key. Recovery Email Deleted. Help?  (Read 1617 times)

As title says, I cannot find my blockland activation key. I've been playing blockland for years (ID is < 6000), and am just trying to play. My email that was used to recover my account key was deleted, due to Time Warner Cable (Road Runner) deleting the email (Or my parents, the owners of the account, deleted it without my knowladge). Any support is helpful, I do remember I paid by credit card, and can provide information about the email, about my blockland account, etc. Thank you.

If you happen to have your Key.Dat, and the computer it was created on, you could recover it still.
But if not, and your E-mail address account was deleted, you won't be getting it back.
Sorry bout that.
If you remember it or find it, make sure you make copies on sticky notes, in note-books, etc.
That way you will always have it.
It's also helpful to have it memorized.

if you've outlived your email address, I think it's time to rebuy blockland anyways.

I've only had my e-mail address for a year or so and my isp changed, and I had to give up my e-mail address.
You could of registered an e-mail address and it went out of business the next day.

Do you still have blockland on an old computer with the key set?

Oh snap, I still have my key.dat from a  6 year old flashdrive. Thanks guys.

That won't be enough. The key.dat is encrypted and you need the original computer that created this key.dat to salvage it.

It worked. Doesn't matter now.

Well if you're still using the same 6 year old computer, the key.dat works just fine.

But it's still a good idea to decrypt the key.dat in case you need it later or you get a newer computer. There's a program which Trinick wrote where you can decrypt the file by inputting another product key. I can PM you a de-activated product key I have, in order for you to use the tool.

You can just enter all A's for the second key. Auth will fail of course but you still get a key.dat.
