ok i head to the debriefing room because that is the plot and some gay guy is following me

I'll take the MiG. It had to pull out the spreadsheets to figure out which aircraft was better.

I'll take the Hornet.

LET'S GO ACTUALLY MAKE THE PLOT GO

You all file into the briefing room, braced for the stuffstorm Big McLargehuge is sure to give you.
"Mjolnir team..."
Oh boy.
"Today..."
Here it comes.
"You shot down a plane with superior combat capabilities and superior armament without taking any casualties on your side, and doing your best to minimize the casualties for Valkyrie 2. If not for your intervention, Valkyrie 2 would have been lost, air support cut off, and the operation unsuccessful. Good work."
OH GOD- wait what.
"In light of your impressive performance, all of you except for Captain Steele have been promoted to First Lieutenant. You will find that requisitions between an F/A-18 Hornet, a Mirage 4000, and a MiG-29 Fulcrum have become available to you in your requisition units. Air to ground specialists also have the A-10C available to them for use.
Although the loss of Valkyrie 2-4 and 2-5 is unfortunate, the information from the plane that was shot down is vital. The wreck was secured by Hammer 1 shortly after you left and we are hoping to recover the black box and whatever weapons system the pilot was using. Debriefing over. Dismissed."

Requisitions will arrive in two days, next mission arrives whenever I don't know.

"Sir, may I ask you a question, sir?"

I smonday at the use of the word sir twice in one sentence.

Character Name: Casey "Case" Miller
Character Age: 26
Piloting Style: Air to Ground
Personality: Ill tempered and roostery, but not unapproachable. Likes money.
Callsign: Cowboy
Backstory: Casey's family was broke as forget. He got pissed and dropped out of high school to start working. A NAUC Air Force recruiter found him one day and promised him a good payroll. He's still not entirely sure how he placed well enough to be entered into the 514th.

Pilots r gey
*shakes fist at incoming aircraft from the commanders hatch*

Now I go to the firing range since the debriefing is basically over.

Have fun in the muscle-party

Okay now I'm actually closing pilot registration for three reasons
One: The loving table is a mess and is getting out of hand, god knows how much I'll suffer with the aircraft charts considering I have five tiers prepared including the current one you're at and at least three aircraft per tier
Two: You have nine people and the mooks are basically get one-shot this isn't fair for the enemies
Three: I'd have to push the callsigns into one digit-two digit combos and who the forget wants that bullstuff.

I want to fly transport planes in the downtime

forget odin for awacs
call him heimdallr

The large, bearded man watches me intently as I fill out the last items on the paper. After handing them over, he takes a quick glance over the information before looking back at me. No change in expression. No moving of the brows or lips or anything - just the same, stony face he wore since I first stepped into his office. Almost like a loving statue. He must be good at parties.

"Good. That completes everything. Welcome to the 514th Strategic Fighter Wing 'Mjolnir.' It's good to have you with us, Lieutenant Miller."

"It's my pleasure, sir." Had to force that one out. His stare is so oppressive it almost hurts.

After a few more exchanges of formalities, he tells me the bunk I'll be sleeping in and points me to the barracks. I hoist the bag over my shoulder and walk down the hall.
