nothing, which is why im changing it

"What about us, Captain? There are only four of us cleared to fly, assuming that you're under some form of punishment. We've only been a squadron for a few days, if even that."
"Didn't you hear the intercom? Everyone's grounded."

I do some spins, getting a feel for the plane, and then I bank and drop altitude like a pro before doing some roostery moves that should piss off the enemy.

"Didn't you hear the intercom? Everyone's grounded."

I'm aware, but our squadron is at half strength.

I drop my altitude, and steer my aircraft away from the group, as to follow orders.
Just as planned, the rebels open fire on you with primitive ballistic weapons, flak cannons and unguided rockets. Nothing too dangerous for you, but they could pose a serious threat to the VTOL transports.

1-1: Ah! They took the bait! Take them apart as they reveal themselves!

Target Groups Requiring Attention (as in, you can fire a full salvo of 6 at them. Just point out which group you're attacking if you're using Multiple Missile Systems)
1:
3x Flak Technicals
2x Rocket Trucks
1x RPG Team

2:
2x Flak Technicals
3x RPG Teams
1x Battle Bus

3:
4x HMG Technicals
2x Rocket Trucks

4:
1x Converted Helicopter
2x HMG Technicals
1x RPG Team
1x Flak Technical
1x Rocket Truck

I lock on and fire an MMS at group 2, swing my plane around, and launch a rocket salvo at group 4. The plane feels great, and relatively easy to fly.

It's obvious Comatose is comatose, can we please kick him and hire an active person?
I'm aware, but our squadron is at half strength.
"We have 7 men. Once Simon comes out of being grounded, We'll have 6. Then, when I come back, 7. That's a fine fighting force. We always have allies. We're not the only squadron flying."

I lock onto Group 3 with my MMS and fire a full salvo. "My god, this is awesome!" I say as I sweep back around to unleash another 3 more missiles on the group.

Can we get full specs and descriptions of our other weapons? Didn't we have a pod that gave us the ability to shoot tank-like caliber rounds or something.

Loadout:

RAC/10- Standard rotary autocannon, mounted in the hull. Good versus air targets, while maintaining effectiveness versus light ground assets.

UAC/2 Pods x2- 8.8cm cannon firing advanced anti-armor shells firing in 2 round bursts at a punishing rate of 60 RPM. Ammunition is extremely heavy, and you can only carry 40 shells.

MRM-6 Pods x2- Dual-purpose missile pods capable of locking on to and firing on up to six different targets with a single pull of the trigger. Neither land, nor sea, nor air is safe from its reach. 4 tons of reserve ammo, for a total of 60 missiles.

These will be your craft and loadouts for your first mission. Subsequent missions will allow you to choose different craft and equipment.

I lock on and fire an MMS at group 2,
The Flak Technicals are blown to pieces, and two of the RPG teams fall silent. The third likely went to ground before the missile hit. The battle bus takes a direct hit, but keeps on chugging.

and launch a rocket salvo at group 4.
The helicopter takes a hit to the rear fuselage and stays in the air for a while until the rotor dies and it crashes. The flak technical dodges behind a ruined building and begins firing on you, though their accuracy leaves much to be desired. Shrapnel plinks harmlessly off your wing. The MG technicals are all annihilated, but the rocket truck lucks out by taking a detour down a tight alleyway. As for the RPG team, they will be sent home in jars.

I lock onto Group 3 with my MMS and fire a full salvo.
The first rocket truck gets hit in the magazine and goes up in a tremendous explosion that takes the surrounding infantry with it.
The second is struck in the engine block, destroying the front half of it but leaving the rocket turret in the back operable. The operator fires a few panicked shots in your direction that are nowhere near on-target.
The first HMG technical gets a tremendously lucky shot in as it shoots down the missile headed its way. Its comrades are not so fortunate, and they are entirely wiped out.

I sweep back around to unleash another 3 more missiles on the group.
The first missile destroys what remains of the stricken missile carrier, and the technical is not lucky enough to shoot the other two headed its way.

why do huitz get all the technological stuff and the NAUC is stuck in the stone age

Because NAUC has more evenly distributed technology and the Huitz have a bunch of fodder and then a few choice craft of "oh /forget/"

why do huitz get all the technological stuff and the NAUC is stuck in the stone age

plus we are cool

I target at Group 1 from a distance and unload 6 missiles at them. I then continue to use my cannon to hopefully cause some more damage until I come back around.

I fire a rocket salvo at group 2 again, and do the same for group 4.

Meanwhile the rest of the huit team throws a small party away from the battlefield.
