Due to Casey "Case" Miller's actions, and the subsequent destruction of his aircraft, his promotion would've been delayed if not for intervention from a higher commanding officer. In light of his bravery and destruction of a superior craft, he has been promoted. It would appear that his huge titanium balls from attempting to play chicken with a superior aircraft found favor in a particularly bloodthirsty officer.
