Author Topic: help w/ sore eyes?  (Read 1070 times)

behind my eyelids/in my eye there's kind of a sore pain, and while I know there might not be much (i have tried headache medicine in the past) I was wondering if any of you have had this same thing and would know what to do.

if it helps, I went to sleep at 8:30 (after being awake for a really long time) and woke up around 3.

those don't help w/ sore eyes, this isn't really a burning thing. They do burn but that's not the main issue.

Either you have an irritation in the eye, and eyedrops should work, or you've got sore eyes from tiredness.
Get some sleep, try washing your face, eyes and hands (to stop you getting more dirt in them should you rub your eyes), and if it persists then see a doctor.

If it's anything else then we likely can't diagnose it with limited information.
Do you have any allergies?

I did go to sleep at 8pm though. Still 7-8 hours of sleep.

That's a good amount of sleep, but if you've been neglecting sleep prior to that then it can still cause problems.
One good night of sleep won't fix you back up after daays of sleep deprivation.

Get into a routine of sleep. I know it's summer and you might not be at school, but a good sleep pattern is good for you, especially if it's giving you painful eyes.
(Do you have twitchey eyelids at all? That's a good sign that you're not having enough sleep).

putting a warm wash cloth over your eye lids can be beneficial and speed healing
