Bite the bullet as soon as possible, hiding it longer won't make them any less pissed off when they find out and they will find out. If your parents are reasonable they'll be pissed but understand it was an accident. Plus I imagine they'll just get really angry if they find out you hid it from them.

It was these aliens....and they landed in the front yard.  The only way that I could make them go away was by scaring them with noise. So...I broke the window. And the glass cut one of them and they felt attacked so they left.  Just protecting my country and my planet. It's my civic duty.

You should tell them it was an accident and apologize and maybe even chip in on repairs.
