go stock up some water and perishable foods
being a long-time florida resident, i must guess this is a northern thing. nobody ever stocks up in jacksonville, maybe they'll get flashlights and heaters if the power goes out but we almost never have to stock. i know my family only did so when a hurricane was about to hit.
I'm going to Florida to visit family in a bit. Am I in trouble?
you're not in trouble. a tropical storm will do nothing except cause some winds, heavy rain and maybe a power outage.
