i kinda disagree
like over the summer me and friends talk over skype and google hangouts and what is so bad about not being there in person
social interaction through skype is basically the same as without it, i mean obviously you can't like play sports or anything over skype but to talk its the same
if you hide in your room and spend your time away from everyone else it is obviously bad, but talking over a videochat and facebook is usually something you do to strengthen a real life bond with someone when you can't talk to them in person
this guy says that we are feeding greedy corporations by using the internet... but the real world is the same way. he calls people "idiots" for using devices, but that's ridiculous to associate anti-socialiality with stupidity. he thinks that everyone was social before the internet existed, and that's silly. people just hid in their homes and read books and did other things. a social person isnt going to discover an iphone and then never talk to her friends again.
i think technology is good. it can give anti-social or shy people a crutch to communicate on, without necessarily speaking face-to-face, making them happier, and helping with their shyness.
