Nothing else has what I wanted, Unity has things I wanted.
(some examples: window menus in the titlebar, updated compiz, anti-aliased windows, Unity's launcher, etc.)
I will admit, the universal menu bar is very nice, but it can be done in XFCE with some plugin IIRC. The unity launcher can easily be replaced by something much faster that does the same thing. You can also use compiz with XFCE. All that and you can put your panels anywhere you want.
When I use XFCE it's with compiz, a single panel at the top with a whisker menu to the left, clock and tray to the right, and docky at the bottom.
I just noticed the poll. Nal, if your iOS device is jailbroken, make sure you have changed the root password. Some jailbreaks enable the OpenSSH server by default, meaning anyone can log into root if you leave the password as default.
Default root password on iOS is "alpine" btw.
