Author Topic: Linux Ubuntu why 64bit  (Read 832 times)

Ughwhat

Linux Ubuntu Server, a text only OS, requires 64-bit? What the forget.
I have 32-bit and I need this OS.

For servers, its pretty obvious.

it looks like they just don't have 32-bit for this particular version yet but you can get a previous version like 12.04 LTS

Why are you hosting a server with Ubuntu. Use debian stable.

Or arch if you want to live on the edge.

Besides RAM because I have something to use and the OS.  What Linux server would be best to use?

I'm fairly sure that some form of debian would be best for any server.

Don't quote me on that though, I use arch. Lol.

EDIT: Why use bandicam for screenshots. It's terrible.
And I think you have two steam clients open.

This was taken over a week ago, I fixed the steam problem.

I dont like Fraps because it lags when I record and it uses up space if I am only using it for screenshots.

How about prt sc.

I'm pretty sure that it is the best one.

what are you hosting with 1gb?

unreal tournament?

Office RP, and my Free Build, On BL. (sorry for Gen D)

Why not just get a vps.

Why host a server from a desktop computer.

Why.

Why not just get a vps.

Why host a server from a desktop computer.

Why.
why pay money if you're willing and able to do it on your own with decent quality

My PC is good enough as it is, I cant afford a VPS. It is cheaper for me to leave My PC on

Power Supply doesn't use a lot.

Why are you switching to linux if your plan is to host Blockland servers? All that will do is make it more complicated for you.
