people on tumblr constantly try to shove stuff down your throat without even explaining anything because that stuff doesn't even exist outside of tumblr

A trigger is a word or idea that's supposed to either trigger (hence the word) a bad memory (as in like PTSD) or a fear.

Someone who's ableist is prejudiced or doing something offensive towards people who are physically or mentally disabled.

disabled people have told me that they don't really mind, words like 'insane' (used to describe people) and 'handicap' are the main offenders.
also its because words that attack intelligent, like stupid and dumb, way back in ye olden days were used to describe a certain disability (eg. dumb is directed towards deaf people), but they're used really casually now

The problem with Tumblr is that all the people who feel slightly "outcasted" go there, and then they make the stunning realisation that Internet allows you to be anybody you want, and so they choose to cosplay as forgetwits.

4chan spamming them probably made them feel all giddy inside because it's a chance to get attention by making huge "rallying calls" that make them seem like heroes, when in reality they're probably a 14yo teenage girl going through puberty with social awkwardness who hasn't quite figured out that telling people that you're "gay and proud of it, pls respect rights or die in hole rapist scum" is just as bad as christian richardheads saying "gays are anti-christ burn them all".

Tumblr is an okay platform, but I'd much rather spend time with the 4chan, Reddit, BLF etc community because at least the far majority have basic common sense.

i don't know if anyone's said anything about this already, but yesterday there were some threads on /b/ with ideas of uniting tumblr and 4chan. "4chumblr"
that's probably what caused this.
