What brand is it?
Nvidia? AMD?

Actually, Windows 8 now comes with a new "Windows Defender". It's basically Microsoft Security Essentials, but now built-in to the OS. It was probably disabled by the manufacturer so they could shove the McAfee anti-virus onto there. Just re-enable it from the Control Panel after removing McAfee.

AVG is more efficient than Defender though, and since Defender is now installed by default it's going to be the prime target for virus designers to work around

I replaced the old driver with the latest version (337)

I don't know if it fixed the crashing since it happens around twice a week, If it happens again, I will inform.
