I wonder how meat from a splice of pig and cow would taste
Ideally if it just tasted like a burger+bacon then that'd be good, but that's unlikely.
For starters you have to consider the fact that different cuts of pork, and types of pork product, taste different from one another.
A ham can taste entirely unlike bacon, or belly pork. And bacon tastes different to gammon, even though they're the same cut, but are prepared differently (and of different sized cuts). And let's not even get into what makes a pork sausage what it is (because these vary on their own accord too).
Then Beef is also different depending on texture and cut too, and generally speaking it's only really when you take beef and mince it up that you then apply pork to it, as in a burger. You don't tend to layer ham over roast beef.
So, if we're going to have a pig/cow hybrid, and it has it's own unique shape and meat which is a combination of the two, then the cuts on it are going to be bizarre and I would guess that they probably taste terrible.
And on top of that, pork is a troubling meat when it comes to preservation. You can't reheat it at all, so I would guess that trait is shared with the cowpig.
