I've never seen Norton itself successfully deny a DDoS attack. Most of this is done on an ISP level.
Norton 360* can block DDoS if you set it up correctly.
Normal norton is crap though.

i just use avg free edition
it works pretty well

Seriously, I've been trying to talk my dad out of norton for years. Whenever I get a laptop I'll just get malware bytes or whatever the hell it's called.

Right, right. Why would I recommend this stuff to anybody unless I was joking? I know how well my own virus program blocks viruses and other stuff like that

EDIT: my sister is the reason two of my family's desktops got a virus and broke down. Norton did NOTHING and was unaware the viruses were there.
