Author Topic: Stud measurement to inches or something  (Read 1690 times)

So, I want to make a gigantic house build in Blockland using Blockland bricks (of course). But... I have a problem... and the problem is I can't figure out what measurement BL studs are IRL. Since I basically just woke up, this is probably going to be hard to understand.

And the reason I'm not doing this myself is because I only know Advanced 5th grade math (ya know, because I just turned 11 on July 2nd).

people have tried to do this before
its really impossible to create a studs / inches ratio because blockheads aren't people

compare it to the bedroom

doors are ~203 cm high

The height of the door in the Bedroom is 190 bricks high. I'm pretty sure I have to do the equation 203(cm)/ 190(brks). Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

So It'll be 1.1 cm each brick. Right?

I would equate it in studs, not bricks.
One stud is 1/3 a 1x1 brick.

I take a 1x1x1 brick as a 1 foot cube.
This isn't perfect but it does a good job actually.

Note that bricks are 1.2x as high as they are wide.

It depends which size you want. You can think of them as lego bricks, just look at a real life lego for that.

If you want blockheads to be human sized, you'll have a problem, as their proportions aren't even close to humans.

This is true, but most people don't realize it. 1x1 bricks are actually 1x1x1.2 (X Y Z). You can test this by making a custom 1x1 brick in Blender using what you would think it is, .5x.5x.5, but it's actually .5x.5x.6.

you can just measure the diameters of a 1x1 lego bricks. or look it up.

For all my replicas I take 1x1f is 1 foot by 1 foot which isn't perfect but works out well.
