Virginia Police want to photograph child's erection

So apparently a teenager was loveting with his girlfriend, and sent out a nude photo of himself. The police are now charging him with a federal offense-- production of child research. That's idiotic. The law is designed to protect minors from predators, not protect minors from... themselves.

This isn't even the worst part of the story. They have obtained a search warrant to photograph the child's erect snake so that they can compare and contrast to confirm that it is the snake in the photographs. If he does not cooperate with them, he will be taken to a hospital and have an injection in his snake, before being photographed.

Virginia police have obtained a search warrant to photograph the erect snake of a 17-year-old facing felony child-research charges for loveting an explicit video to his 15-year-old girlfriend, the boy's lawyer says.

If he doesn't cooperate, the Manassas City Police Department has threatened to take him to a hospital and medically induce an erection with an injection, attorney Jessica Harbeson Foster toldThe Washington Post.

Police already photographed the teen's genitals against his will when he was arrested in late January, she said.

To them.
If the research is of a minor then it is child research.
It might be innocent for two teenagers to send each other the pictures, but it's still handling child research. The imagery could easily end up being sent to other people.

Just because someone is a minor themselves it doesn't mean you can't be guilty of owning or distributing child research.
Even if it's research of yourself.
