Author Topic: More Purposes for Interactive Vehicle Support?  (Read 3978 times)

The only way I can think of making the gear shifting work server sided is to have a vehicle with very low torque and a high max wheel speed, and when certain velocities are reached, it applies an impulse to the back of the car (only if accelerating and only if grounded). This, however, could be a tad buggy.

I thought of the blinkers Idea a bit more, and also thought of a possible code. However, I'm not sure how I'd code it. What we could do is when you press the light key, you have blinkers enabled, when you turn your car's wheels to the left, the left blinker comes on. Moving the wheel's to the right, would activate the right blinker. Having the wheels in a straight forward direction doesn't toggle anything.

Yes.  All y'all keybinders git out.

I have begun work on the first ultra-interactive vehicle.  I am modeling it off of a 2015 Mini Cooper S.  The first feature will be the usual stuff (side doors, hood, and trunk).  After that, I will work on buttons that activate various lights (headlights, fog lights, interior lights, lights that turn on when doors open), then I'll try some more unique stuff (horn, windows, radio), and finally anything that is unnecessary but seems like it would be cool to have (gas cap, wipers, key in ignition).  My scripting abilities are not the best, but I will also try to make the event-triggering buttons as one of the final additions (useful for garage doors).

Actual mounted lights aren't possible. You can make do with what most folks do and just have your light sources self illuminate.

Well duh.

What do you mean? Working lights on vehicles don't work? That can't be true.
It works for me sense I have MARBLEMAN's headlight mod..

[EDIT]: Oh and also, for the keybinds for blinkers, they could be "[" "]" just like in those driving simulator games like "Bus Driver"...

he means that light cannot be projected from the vehicle and illuminate a wall.  Self illuminated faces and marble's headlight mod are different.  And stop with the key binds.  That is not the point in this topic.

Totally posible, Ivs just calls a function, so it can be almost everything.
