my internet has been extremely unresponsive lately.

idk why but for the past 2 months my internet has been very very uncooperative. I mean it's always been a teeny slow (thats because my isp is trash) but this time i get constant lags in-game and every hour or so I get complete cut off from internet and can't access any online. idk if im being dos'd or anything (i dont know much about how that works so correct me if im wrong) or if its just cause my internet has gotten slower which i doubt it is so because it shouldn't cut me off from the internet completely.

I'm pretty sure no one's going to DoS/DDoS you constantly for weeks on end. Are all of the physical connections in check? What are you paying for speed wise?
Speaking of speed, probably a good idea to use speedtest.net to confirm that your ISP isn't loving you over.

Your router is probably overheating. The router Comcast gave me recently had this issue so I got my own and installed a fan on top to be safe; I recommend doing the same.

This could also be a possibility. At times when the router gets hot, the internet starts slowing down. I haven't had that issue in a while though. Make sure all of the holes in the devices are blocked by something and are allowed to ventilate.

Lack of ventilation is the most likely culprit.

its pretty cheap internet

it suppose to be up to 10mb/s but i only get between 2-3 (not to mention im using wireless, not Ethernet)

also my router isnt overheating since it sits on top of my fridge (lol)

1 mbps = .125 mb/s

if you understand that and your internet randomly disconnects etc etc then you should probably contact your ISP about replacing your router.  the routers my provider supplies usually (and sadly) die out after about 4 months of intense use.  that or you can go spend $150 - 200 of your hard earned money on your own router, but lets face it, make the ISP pay for it and just get it replaced.  if all else fails make sure youre running decent ethernet cords because the more resistance you get in a cord, the less quality your internet is going to be.

actually most fridges cause heat.  anything using an electric motor uses heat, and fridges use the motor to cool off air/water/coolant with frion.

dont take thing so technically, i dont fully understand why youre pursuing an argument to begin with.
obviously you are correct, what im saying is you clearly understood what i meant, as will most people who know a thing or two about internet connections, so whether or not i was being strict with the abbreviations or using a common practice abbreviation shouldnt matter unless i need the utmost accuracy, which i dont in this context

well the top of my fridge is cold and my house always stays 60 degrees
