Author Topic: Found a computer to buy. NEED HELP  (Read 1304 times)

Okay so my family has a 2002 Dell desktop with XP and we are getting a new computer soon and looking to find a new computer for a good price. Im looking for a computer that is less than $450 and is good for running microsoft word, pp, etc., run some steam games like gmod, tf2, not big games but smaller fun ones, and wont be slow on the internet.

Now the websites ive heard about are tigerdirect and newegg for desktops. Now which one is better or are there others that are better?

UPDATE*
Found this pc on newegg and wondering if it will work for what i listed aboved http://m.newegg.com/Product/index?itemnumber=83-156-015

newegg yes, build a desktop up yourself too, its really easy and cheap, $750 and i haven't found a game i cant play on max settings yet :D

cept' blockland when the brickcount gets supr high :/  max shaders are not optimum at those levels...

pcpartpicker for picking whole builds, newegg for buying certain parts

I used a combination of Newegg and Amazon when I was buying parts for my computer.

You do not really want that computer. It's pretty bad.

how so? i dont know much about computers

The processor isn't that good, and it uses Intel integrated graphics. That's not going to do tha well in games. Honestly, you're not going to get a good PC for that price, unless you build it yourself.

it doesnt have to do well in games as long as i can run them thats all i need. I dont need max settings and great graphics
