THE BROKEN BRIGADE
The Plot
Ever since the invention of gears and machinery, Silvans has become the wealthiest and strongest nation on Ethiea. The healthiness and riches of the great human nation has caused greed, hatred and envy, even fear, in it's neighboring kingdoms. Silvans is the only nation capable of maintaining it's own army, while the rest have to use mercenaries and bandits. You are a member of a new mercenary group called the Broken Brigade, formed by members from smaller gangs of bandits and mercs. You have been hired by the kingdom of Othil to fight against Silvans for food, weapons, women and a large sum of gold.

Stats and Gameplay
Most actions are based on the character's stats. A character starts the adventure with all stats at 1 (except for vitality, which is at 3). When a character wishes to perform any other action besides moving outside combat, examining something and attacking, a certain stat is tested with a dice roll. If the roll is equal or less than the character's specific stat, the roll succeeds and the action is performed. The stats are:
Vitality: Affects maximum health
Brain: Affects magic attacks and intelligence rolls.
Strength: Affects base attack damage.
Sneaky: Affects sneaky stuff
Charisma: Affects persuasion and charming/seduction rolls.
Agility: Affects attacking order and agility rolls.
In combat, each character may perform a single action, which is either attack, using a skill or a spell, or using an item. If a character wishes to attack, I will roll a d6. 1-3 means the attack misses or fails and 4-6 means the attack hits.
Karma and Dying
If a character is slain in battle, or some other horrifying way (oh yes, we have plenty), depending on his or her karma, a certain ammount of loot is dropped. Positive karma is achieved by doing good stuff and negative karma by bad stuff. If the character's karma is positive or neutral, he/she will be revived at the previous resting place (inn, camp, etc.)
Classes and Tiers
Each character starts at tier 0 without a class. After surviving a certain number of battles, the character is promoted to the next tier, max. tier being 4. The character is given two decisions, usually being either a new skill, increased stats, or new usable weapon types.
