http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Places+where+tornadoes+are+most+frequent

the forget were the sounding the tornado alarm for?
light rain?
when was the last tornado in chicago anyway?
last one in central illinois was 2006 iirc

the nearest to me was in oak lawn. in the 60's.

the last time the SIREN went off though was a false alarm during one of the worst storms we had in awhile (it was sometime 2006.)

i'm safe here in the most wooded area of the southwest suburbs, well until a tree falls on me or something.

but jesus christ i wouldn't like to be in the city when a siren goes off.

the midwest. don't worry, it's not like there's anything interesting there anyway.

does the forum have a fear of beeping sounds because if so do not listen to SSTV
What is SSTV?

What is SSTV?
Slow Scanning Television, it creates beeping sounds and makes a picture with the sounds, it's used in game args a lot, I'd post an example but they're all very loud.

Spooky. Reminds me of Numbers Stations.

OP should really check out the "hum", some of the NOAA's unidentified sounds, or HAARP.

the bloop was confirmed to be some stray, slowly melting iceberg if I remember correctly

also, HAARP is real but not used in a way a lot of people think

just putting that out there

yeah afaik it was an icequake or something very similar. but there's still a few that are unexplained, and the "bloop" is one of the least interesting ones to me.

yeah well duh. haarp definitely isn't as malicious as people think, but all the videos with that interesting noise phenomena are labeled with "haarp"- and it's always interesting to learn more about what your government's doing.

just putting that out there

are there videos of stuff like this happening elsewhere? because there's no sirens anywhere in LA.
Are they crazy! Have they not seen The Day After Tomorrow?!

I know right?

there are sirens throughout every inch of the US because they are not intended for tornadoes. they were cold war warnings fore when/if the russians ever atom bombed us.

Tornadoes can happen in any of the 50 states at any time of year, but they happen in larger volume in the Midwest states during the spring.
