Author Topic: Let me tell you about my girlfriend, it's not what you think either.  (Read 5234 times)

You may not know me but that's ok, and you may not care about this and that's ok too, just wanted to share a little bit of my girlfriends story, so I'll make a long story short for you.

My girlfriend has depression, and she has anorexia, but she somehow weighs too much to actually be skin and bones anorexia, if that makes any sense.

Anyways, her life long friend died on Christmas 2011, and she dealt with self harm, attempted Self Delete 3 times between that time and the time I started talking to her on Facebook, which was roughly November 8th.

And she has PSTD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder),  PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) which basically means the chances of successfully having children is around %50, and she has an eating disorder, that goes along with the anorexia.

And to wrap this all up, she's told me that those few seconds of peace, the sense that everything is ok, that she got while going through self harm, I now give her that sense of peace, and that everything is ok, she's on medicine now which makes her depression a lot easier to deal with, and I'm proud to say that because of me, she hasn't done self harm going on 7 months now.

And I'm sure you're wondering, "Why on earth are you still with her if she has all these issues?", and my answer to that is, love.

Love, I love this girl with all my heart, and with every fiber of my being, I'm the one that keeps her happy, keeps her safe, I'm the one that gives her love and attention that she doesn't really get from her parents, I'm the one she loves, and she is the one that I love, and nobody can ever change that.

I'm the one who helps her with these disorders, I'm the one who reminds her to take her depression medicine because it's the most terrifying thing in the world to see your girlfriend not herself, to have her push you off when you ask to hold her hand, to have her shut you out.

Because that's not my girlfriend, she said herself that when she gets like that, that's not her, that's not her personality, it's simply not her, and I am now the one who prevents her from ever being that way, ever acting that way, I'm the one she loves, and the one she is going to marry.

So now you know her story, and you know why she means so much to me, and why I couldn't shut up about her in that topic I made about the height difference, now you know everything about her.

I just felt the need to share her story with you, and there it is.

Thanks for reading, and hopefully understanding.

That's the thing, rude comments never really bother me, because I know the truth and they don't.

I wish you and your GF the best. Love is an interesting emotion.

PTSD in reality = cant cope because has a weak mind, gonna play victim and be pathetic because its easier.

forgeted up to you maybe, far from it to me, and that's really all that matters.

I know that very well, I help her with it incredibly.

Indeed it is, and I thank you for that.

She has so many diagnosis's that it almost makes me think half of it is made up

I hope it all works out okay for you guys.

I'm the one that keeps her sane, for lack of a better term
there are a hundred better terms for that
"happy"? "safe"?

It is in fact all true, she lives with that diagnosis every day.
