Author Topic: New Computer  (Read 2305 times)

I just got my new computer in the mail today, and I'm loving it. That means I can run games with a higher FPS rate. (like Blockland with Port's shaders) I can also do many other stuff. (like use Fraps and Sony Vegas, I can finally make videos again!) Filipe, you're screwed.

Gum has evolved EVEN MORE.

Sweet man. Nothing better than plugging in a new computer. May I ask what kind of comp it is?

enjoy the gift i bought for you with your money

i still dont get why people spend 1000 dollars on a computer

Well, on a computer in general, because muh FPS and muh DPI.

1000 isn't really that much for a good computer. I know people that go full out and spend several thousands to try and build a "future proof" computer, which is stupid IMO.

because it's so loving satisfying to be able to run a game with a stuffload of ridiculous enhancements without losing any framerate

like running Skyward Sword on Dolphin at an internal resolution of 4k, downscaled to 1080p, on a 32" IPS monitor

loving eyegasm

i don't see how it's stupid
an investment today is money saved tomorrow

yeah but I don't believe in any PC being future proof. I think the extra stuff added is just overkill that will eventually be replaced by newer parts. Also, I don't have the money to do it so there's that haha

let's say there's a $100 part that is good for current games and a $200 part that is "overkill"
sure, you can save $100 initially by buying the cheaper part
but when you finally need to buy the other one, it might be $120, or $150, or something
then you'd end up spending a total of $220 or $250
rather than a total of $200
