Author Topic: Got a job interview tomorrow.  (Read 1552 times)

So yeah, I quit my old job about 3 months ago after screwing up my back really bad, so I've been looking for a job and tomorrow I have a job interview at Publix.

I worked at Cici's as the busboy, you know that guy who comes by and takes your dishes with a cart? Yeah, that was me.

But anyways, wish me luck and discuss jobs in general.

Update: So the interview went really well, it was kinda short which isn't a bad thing, he seemed really interested in me, will keep updated. :D

In the winter I worked as a ski lift operator and man it was the easiest job ever. But man it made me hate the cold so much, I've never had to stand outside in sub 0 weather before the sun rose but it was the worst feeling ever. While the job was really easy it also paid $7.25 an hour which sucked richard. Some people there worked doubles all week which meant they worked from about 7am until 9pm 5 days a week because the pay sucked so much

i work at a hardware store
pretty easy
my boss likes to cut our hours and hire more people (which makes no sense)

I am working as a swim teacher for a few days at the local pool

its fun teaching 5 year olds how to swim

I'm excited because I've always wanted to work in a grocery store/retail setting.

I have always wanted to work as an electrician.

But USA has laws about working at a certain age, loving christ.

That's cool, I wish you luck

I just applied to Walmart #3465 and am waiting for a call
wait forget where's my phone

How do you like it? I'm sure I'll be a stocker seeing as I'm 6'8.

i would've loved to work at the acrylic plant my dad works at but because of the machinery there they can't hire anyone under 18

Yeah, child labor laws are such a pain, as is minimum wage.  I could have found a job much more easily if I'd been able to undercut some Mexicans or something.

I'm a laborer for a masonry company.  I get more than minimum wage, but the effort you put in is far more than minimum too.  Great though, no need to pay for a gym membership, hauling cinder blocks and buckets of bricks, mortar, or grout up five levels of scaffolding with a pulley (not the type that makes it easier, literally just a wheel) really builds muscle.

I'm enlisting in the Navy as a Special Warfare Operator.
