people kalphiter and hamerhost and zapk log the master server and people off their servers and leave them publicly, you can't do anything with a person's ip adress other than find a vague location, and there are no names associated with the ips so you don't know the person who the location is tied to

you can't ddos people with an ip.
they need to have an open server that allows robust internet traffic
and if you have such thing people probably already know your ip because you're hosting a website at that rate

Why does everyone relate their IP address being exposed to getting dos'd.

You literally expose your IP address to the world with everything you do on the internet. Not to mention there are no names on the list.

because it happens and its easy and cheap to rent a botnet. you dont know who has one on this forum. they can just take a hit at each of the ips on that list

some nut on this forum kept spamming me with packets directly on my ip
he didnt do damage because he probably had a stuff network and was sending a packet every 3-5 seconds

god knows how he got my ip because i wasnt in game

Doesn't change the fact that you've made a good amount of people worry, and of course I would think you would do something bad. You're a random stranger over the internet, I can't trust you. Sorry for doubting you.
