Author Topic: Dinosaur Pack (different from Phydeoux's, update)  (Read 4758 times)

I have just started working on a dinosaur pack and i need a good scripter, im tweaking out the first model which is a brachiosaurus i already finished most of it just need to do a little bit more, please if there are any scirpters out there which arent doing anything lately please help me email me if you want to help email to this: bdarty89@gmail.com thank you

The pack will possibly (im not making any promises) consist of a Brachiosaur, Pteradon, Megalodon, Spinosaurus (ill try with it), Titanaboa (probably not), and finally a Tyrannosaurus Rex (maybe).

EDIT:I changed the tail so that it droops down more, i added teeth, and color along with the black eyes i will add whatever you guys want me to add plus im going to try to learn to script but if you are a scripter and want to help my email: bdarty89@gmail.com

EDIT:I made toes on the pterodactyl, plus i put 2 beaks on the creature instead of 1 beak, last but not least i put muscles on the bottom so it isn't flat. After i finish making it 3D i will "clean" up the model so it looks good and not all mix and mash, so that i dont do the brachiosaur mistake, oops i almost forgot the current brachiosaur model will be turned into a brick instead, so then i will make a remastered version of it eventually.

EDIT:Crest

Progress:
Pterodactyl

When you are modeling, it is best to not use such high poly cylinders. They generally look bad in Blockland and when used improperly.

Im new to modeling so im gonna search up what that is

Since you're new to modeling, i suggest you wait on putting your first models into add-ons

A good place to ask for opinions and ways to improve your models is here

I do not want to bash in your idea, but did you know there is a pack of dinosaurs already?

Made by phydeoux and i think his style works pretty well.
Though it really is based on the Lego style of dinosaurs, having a different style could still work.
Of course he doesn't have all the dinosaurs in that pack, so for maximal potential, i would recommend making dinosaurs that aren't made yet. ;)
As for the style, there are some ways to improve your models and make them more blocko-ish.
Masterlegodude has referred you to a great topic for that.
A lot of the modelers on this forum go there to show off their creations and try to help others.

I think LEGO styled dinos fit quite perfectly and we should have even more

I saw you on Hunter's server when you showed us that. I said it was looking too "shapely" seems good for a starter.

Thanks guys for giving me advice i really appreciate that and ill go in that place where you share your models btw i just edited my model once more what do you think????
Brachiosaur V.02

The tail is weird as hell, shouldn't it be more than a simple cone? Also the body doesn't go with the head at all. The body is a bunch of circles slapped together, and the head is square as can be.

Well atleast he tried

I am technically a noob to modeling

What is that, a pencil?

no it's a handheld weapon

Or a pencil gun, those things can be very dangerous.
