Author Topic: [NEWS] israel invades gaza strip, begins ground offensive  (Read 24840 times)

I don't agree with the invasion, but I do think that Islam has been taken over by fundamentalism. I've met so many wonderful Muslim people in my life who were respectful, polite, extremely educated and smart and it is a shame to see how many Muslims turn to extremism. I don't think this invasion of Gaza will help anything, but it might be a wake-up call. Israel has a brilliant military and military technology, which is funded primarily by American Jews and the American government. Most Arab countries want Israel to be wiped off the planet, and it's such a high threat country. I'm surprised it still is here and more powerful than ever, it's a brilliant country. I don't think that it's justified to kill so many civilians though, but then again the Palestinians started it by kidnapping and brutally murdering 3 Israeli teenagers. I do think though, that there is complete justification in killing people in Hamas or other terrorist organizations. Israel is trying to send out a message, and that message is: to show the Palestinians that they don't want to be messed around with. I don't see the purpose of this invasion though, and what the outcome could evidently be; however I do believe that their true intent is to attempt to eliminate Hamas.

I just wanna make this clear: I am Jewish, and I do not support the State of Israel.

How did this turn into discussing about the topic, to arguing about religion, to getting back on topic?

Arab terrorism relates to religion.

Too be fair it sounds like they're only going to use that for when it has a ton of nations come after them.
Quote
In the 1973 Yom Kippur War, Arab forces were overwhelming Israeli forces and Prime Minister Golda Meir authorized a nuclear alert and ordered 13 atomic bombs be readied for use by missiles and aircraft. The Israeli Ambassador warned President Nixon of "very serious conclusions" if the United States did not airlift supplies. Nixon complied. This is seen by some commentators on the subject as the first threat of the use of the Samson Option.[18][19][20][21][22]

Seymour Hersh writes that the "surprising victory of Menachem Begin's Likud Party in the May 1977 national elections... brought to power a government that was even more committed than Labor to the Samson Option and the necessity of an Israeli nuclear arsenal."[23]
They threatened Nixon with it all the way back in the 70's. And the government has only gotten more extreme since.

Seen by some? So its more of a guess then? And can't the "Very Serious Conclusions" part be Israel not threatening the states but just warning that They're about to dig themselves a deep hole by bombing the neighboring countries?

Being a brit I sympathise with the people my nation put there, who are suffering terrorist bombings.
When was the last time you heard of an Israeli setting off a Self Delete bomb?

If the rest of the world stopped getting involved in any means in these nations it wouldn't all clear up.
Of course foreign action is involved too, but it's illogical to expect nations to stop interacting in those ways.
For 2000+ years no one's been able to ignore what their neighbour is up to.
lol u do realize that upon the creation of the Jewish state, tons of British soldiers were killed by Jewish extremists. They hated england! Haven't you heard of the king david hotel bombing?

They don't care what hole they dig themselves into. It's a "if we go down everyone else goes down with us" strategy.
They'd be willing to nuke European capitals and threaten the United States president to get their way.
The United States has since been giving Israel over 3.1 billion dollars in aid each year.

Have some stuff from amnesty international about the Israeli war crimes:

Most of western Europe is home to hypocrites and Che Guevara tee-shirt socialists, I wouldn't miss it. Turkey is pretty bad too, except they are allies with Israel.

By the way, France has currently banned pro-Palestinian rallies and events.
Just another example of how Europe doesn't respect free speech.

That said, if Israel does nothing. Extermists will fight the Israelis. If Israel uses military action in Palestinian areas, people will join the extremists. forget them both I say, If we help Israel, we'll get bombed by allah snackbar morons and some sheckle merchants will use us as puppets. If we side with the Palestinians, we'll get bombed anyway for not being muslim enough.

It should also be noted that nationalism and right wing groups are on the rise in Europe. Lots of anti-immigranion and anti-muslim groups.

I'm happy to see that.
It shows that no matter how much Europe tries to suppress dissent and free-speech these people will always find a way though.

Also, here's an example of a horrific terrorist attack by Hamas.
This is the kind of thing that justifies the kind of killing that's going on in the Gaza strip.

It's like 9/11 but instead of two towers it's a tree.
