Author Topic: Tips for drivers test?  (Read 1120 times)

Hey guys, im taking my long over due drivers test today and i was thinking some of you may have some useful tips. thanks!

Don't crash your car.

Make sure you scan over the car and recognize where everything is before you start driving. Instructors hate watching people reach for things that aren't there.

Shoulder check like everything

Check blind spots. Instructors just wanna see that you know what you're doing. You're just taking the car out for a quick drive.

You're just trying to prove to him that you deserve a license.

Sedate the instructor

ok ill keep those things in mind, here i go! lol!

Which drivers? Audio? Graphics?

did you spongebob the drivers test?

Leave home early to practice.  I posted in the car thread somewhere when I got mine.

I would suggest parallel parking and backing up into parking spaces. Also make sure you do absolutely every little thing possible when doing what the instructor tells you to do.  Turn signal for everything including turning (obv), parking, and switching lanes.  Try to stay below speed limit but don't go too slow.  If the instructor makes you park on a hill, remember turn signal, looking around everywhere, and turning wheels to the curb as well as e-brake.

Be friendly with your instructor, small talk is a good thing but don't talk so much that you lose focus
Go the speed limit at all times
Corner smooth and slow
No abrupt braking or accelerating
Use blinkers when pulling away from or to a curb
Use blinkers when you're parallel parking and doing 3 point turn

Good luck friend <3
