Author Topic: I figured out I'm in love with my best friend  (Read 4794 times)

Find a good time and setting and tell her.
Sure there are a lot of stories and fears of peoples friendships becoming awkward or distant but in truth that depends entirely on the people involved. Simply put if you are cool about it and aren't awkward yourself then it wont be awkward. It's surprisingly easy to get along normally with people that know one likes the other if you don't go putting excess weight on the issue.

Too late man. You're so deep in the friendzone you'll never get out. It's likely she's bro-zoned you at this point. It'll be too awkward for her to like you back in that way.
Sir have you SEEN Forrest Gump?

I don't think it's possible to just realize you're in love with someone one day.

I think what you want to say is you want to forget her. Perfectly acceptable, most males deal with unfulfilled desire every day.

do what I did

tell her and then disappear under mysterious circumstances.

If it doesn't work, well crap. We still talk and none of us gives a flying forget about it lol

and if it does work, then hey, go ahead

this is the sneaky, socially awkward way btw

If your friendship gets awkward after confessing it means you're probably socially awkward. Don't say something dumb, just be honest and geniune about your feelings when you feel the time is right. This doesn't have to be rocket science. Don't be melodramatic though, you don't have to read her a poem, just be straight up and legit. No strings attached. If she's not interested, just go back to acting like how you did before you even told her and don't bring it up again.

And don't listen to all the "professor tweeny"s that tell you you're not in love. We can break affection down to neurotransmitters if we want, love is what you make it.

I am in a serious relationship with my best friend, just take it slow. Don't push things, especially at the age you are in. Relationships are not nearly as important as friendship is in eighth grade. When you get a little older and have decided your feelings for sure maybe ask her out to dinner or something. Good luck! :)

In my personal experience friendships after confessions like this are awkward
Yeah, there's nothing wrong with a man and woman just being friends.
But not if there's unrequited feelings involved.
