Stock coolers aren't always the best.

Normally I'd only recommend the stock cooler for Intel Pentiums and the i3s, anything above that should really get an aftermarket cooler.

and if you overclock your cpu you can't use your stuffty loud and hot stock cooler

you're gonna need to buy some thermal paste as well if you get that cooler.

Most coolers come with pre-applied TIM

why get an r7? i havent heard much good about them.

In the gaming benchmarks I looked at the R9 270 is better than the GTX 750 TI despite being around the same price

I'm sorry but could you stop with all this "environmentally friendly" stuff? It may be a thing for you but most people don't care how much they have to kill the planet in order to play games at a high framerate for a specific price.

Dude, you're being a richard about the destruction of our only place to live. Unless AMD steps up their game about power efficiency the greener choice is always for right now Nvidia.
