Author Topic: Budget gaming PC  (Read 4333 times)

I'm sorry but could you stop with all this "environmentally friendly" stuff? It may be a thing for you but most people don't care how much they have to kill the planet in order to play games at a high framerate for a specific price.

OP doesn't even know what a gaming PC is supposed to be...

I never said I wanted a high performance Gaming Pc, and I am not so firmiliar
With types of CPUs and GPUs I should get.

When I said budget I ment I only have $997 to spend.

That would be my "budget"

I am not some ass who spends a bunch of money for a Top of the line gaming PC.

Thankyou, others, who gave me other lists to try instead of flaming me for picking parts that are not high end or environmental friendly.

If you really wanted to save the planet you wouldn't have a gaming computer in the first place, because what you're essentially doing is burning coal to power your expensive hardware so that you can make temporary images appear solely for your entertainment. The 750 ti is a good option for people who can't/don't want to upgrade their psu and for people who want to make very quiet HTPCs or NUCs because of a lower TDP to disperse with fans.

That being said, I think pentium has the best build so far, but it would definitely be worth stepping the 270 up to a 270X so you can comfortably game 1080p at high settings instead of medium. I know you can get the XFX 270X for only $10 more

Solar power does exist. Its too bad its not the dominant source of energy intake.

why is it that every loving forumer will die without a gaming computer here

That's not the point. The point is, you're wasting energy for no good reason regardless of the card, and it doesn't make any sense to go full on ecowarrior when neither choice is good for the planet anyway.

$977 is enough to get a high-mid/low-high gaming rig, they're not as expensive as people think.

yeah what about the part where its extremely inefficient and expensive?

You'd need to have a lot of solar panels to be able to run a high-end gaming rig.

Plenty good reason when a card that performs identically to another card has a higher TDP.

>sound card

What the forget

>TWO INDIVIDIAL 1 X 4GB RAM

WHAT THE forget

>AMD Athlon II X2

WHY
Also
>Wired network adapter

what about the coal generated electricity that powers your whole home and rig?

Except the 270 is measurably faster, and costs less. I still recommend the 270X

This topic has really derailed.

We just wait until fossil fuels run out and society starts to panic, that's all. Anyways please get back on topic. ~$1000 is plenty to get a good rig, DELL are you saying you don't want that seriously? You don't have to brag about "having a high end rig" you know, DUH.

And has DOUBLE the TDP (115W vs 60W) for the small amount of improved performance it has. Did you read what I said at ALL?
