New GUI Design [Heavy WIP] - New design template

I've been working on the past few days a neat windows-themed Blockland UI. I know there's already one out but I thought I'd make my own version for fun. Here's what I've got done so far:

New crosshair (not very windows like but I thought it looked cool)

Escape menu and windows 7 mouse cursor.

Player menu.

Plant Errors (now in progress):


NEW DESIGN???

Bump: Trying a different style, dropping the windows idea.

To-do list:
Red - Haven't started Yellow - In Progress Green - Done
Button1 and Button2 - May add an effect when moused over
AvatarBG (Background behind avatar)
Mouse Cursor
New Crosshair - may change idk yet
Plant Errors
Main Menu Buttons
Item Icons (backgrounds) and Paint can background
Auth bar, Super stuff, and LAG icons
"Tabs"
torqueRatio and torqueCheck
LOADING background

An X Crosshair
Blue Borders on Buttons
Different Avatar Preview Backdrop
And a Font Change on Error Messages?

The new crosshair looks fine, but it's just a crosshair.
The blue borders look out of place and don't match the colored menu buttons.
The avatar review backdrop looks like a poor mix of clipart and stock photos. Mainly the realistic mountains behind a clipart landscape with a real picture of the Space Needle coming out of a lake.
And I don't get whats up with the font change on error messages.

Overall it doesn't seem like you went with any theme here and instead threw a bunch of random edits together.

It was more showing off the mouse cursor, but I see your point. I'll fix the stretch on them.

Wat, it's the standard windows 7 mouse cursor. I didn't even notice it until you metioned it. Maybe you should add better descriptions to your images if you want to show off something that isn't the majority of the image

I really dislike the blue outline/border, it doesn't look clean and it just seems like a total mess

The crosshair is decent, not a big fan of the X

The background is a bit overwhelming; but other than that pretty good

Okay thanks. I might see if I can find another button template that still looks a bit windows-y but not so bad. Thanks for being helpful instead of being a total ass about it.
