Author Topic: Indiegogo attempts to crowdfund absolutely nothing  (Read 3176 times)

I will contribute absolutely nothing to this.

If I donate $10, what do I get? Absolutely nothing?

I'm fine with this.

So many failures came about due to Kickstarter. These are the same people, the same website, that financed Anita Sarkeesian and Mighty Number Nine and were disappointed when stuff didn't turn out great.

It's a website based on paying for stuff before you even see it and is mostly used by people to pray on other's nostalgia or special snowflake status.
Don't forget the revolutionary solar roadways

Mighty Number Nine
i remember when everyone was frantic about it
you and i were there
it was like yesterday
but anyway now that they've done more progress i'm beginning to realize that it was all hoohaa
project looks fine

it can also be viewed as gambling in a way because your risking things for something that might not even be good. so it's kind of "donate at your own risk" really

i think these joke funding things are awful

it's not funny. they are cluttering kickstarter and greenlight with joke products that become more popular than things people have worked on for years.

Well, not Absolutely nothing:

But yeah, after the first one, this stuff has stopped being funny.

p much. and it's also taking attention away from important things that could be funded, i.e things that would actually help people

I'd contribute $0.01 if Indiegogo actually let you.
