They've been flying all over the place here because our forests are burning all up.

Aren't you in Canada? I don't think of forest fires when I think of Canada.

We've been having a dry spell up in BC and when I returned home from the states, once i got off the plane there was so much smoke you couldn't even see for half a mile.

I've dealt with forest fires but never that bad. We had some once when I lived in Florida and they were so bad they didn't want people going outside. Idk if school was cancelled or not. But it was in summer, and in Florida, you don't wanna go out there anyway, so lol.

Here I've only seen it once. And I've seen one of those planes once too, but not when there were any close forest fires, which was weird.

Yeah, I remember looking at the news and there were about 8-10 surrounding us. Granted they were all at least a couple hours away by car, but since I live in a giant valley all the smoke funnels directly to us lol.

They drop by every now and then here at least because our airport is international, and makes for a good gathering point to reach the rest of the province.

There's smaller airports scattered all over the place. John Wayne Int'l, Santa Monica Airport, Burbank Bob-Hope, Van Nuys, etc etc etc.
I just don't see them anymore. I have seen a C130 on what looked like a very low approach in the completely incorrect direction, though.
