Author Topic: getting a nvidia geforce 610gt  (Read 2011 times)

I got a GT 630

I kinda regret it because i had no idea how video cards worked, so i didn't realize it was one of the lowest i could buy in the 600s

Can still  play TF2 at relatively decent fps, but it like to reach 90C if i dont have a fan directly on it.

obvious trolling?

Are you stupid? Why would I be trolling.

what exactly do you play though?

Minecraft, Blockland, TF2, GMod

gmod at 3 FPS i bet
Comparing these benchmarks, it should play gmod fine (60fps or higher) at High Texture/Model detail, Reflect world, 8x CSAA, and High Shader detail.

tf2 and gmod dont require some future setup. they are either really optimized or just not graphically intensive

You don't need to break the piggy bank to get a decent card. I'm an owner of a GT 640 and this thing can play all source games just fine at reasonable settings and does fine in just about any other game too.

There seems to be an illusion these days that one must have atleast a GTX 600 series card to have a reasonably good gaming experience. This is not the case.

good luck playing skyrim on 30 fps on meduim
