It doesn't have to do with the hype train. It does this on any update. He already downloaded the files but since payday's compression is weird it takes longer to actually unpack the files.

Seems like every other game except payday can pull this off fine.

i have that issue but with every game on Steam. it updates decently fine but stops at 100% for upwards of 10 minutes for every loving update

its because the diesel engine is really old and is pretty much the only engine to use the bundle system. its the only engine for good reason

maybe they could use all that money raised from hype train for a better engine. oh who am i kidding they will ask for a hype train 2.0 first

if you have a problem with it then uninstall it, there's nothing wrong with updates. or turn off auto update

It means it is writing the info to disk. Applying the update to your game.
