Dog going in for surgery tomorrow

My big dog attacked my little dog because of food to say the least. I heard the most bloodcurdling yelps ever. Her eye popped out of her socket. We went to the vet today at about 3 AM, and we couldn't do anything because we have no money. I went to my grandmas to get some rest because I don't think I can rest easy in my house for at least a week. We found a surgeon that will do some sort of payment plan. They have to take the eye out, they gave her some antibiotics, pain medicine, and they put a gel on her eye so it doesn't dry out. Sorry for the gruesome details, its just hard for me right now. Wish her luck folks.

Oh god bless you and your dog, the same thing happened to my cousin's pug and it was horrifying.

I think hes getting old idk. hes never been violent before. he did come from an abusive household though. hes about 10 or 11 now. he might just be old/senile.

shes also a shih tzu chihuahua. the vet said this is common because chihuahuas eyes bulge. if you guys /really/ want to know what it is, look up proptosis eye. i highly recommend not to though.

Totally been in your shoes, OP. My dog was brutally attacked by the neighbor's aggressive pack of dogs over a year ago leaving his coat permanently damaged and he still has the scars. I made a thread that partially went through what happened here even though its based on somewhat unrelated matters.

yeah my uncle's chihuahua's eyes bulge out a lot and it's so freaky. it's an injury waiting to happen imo
