Author Topic: This may be the tiniest (and most adorable) laptop I've ever seen.  (Read 1730 times)

My dad brought this beat up (yet quite adorable) laptop back from work today...

It's an older laptop that runs Windows XP, and has an Intel Atom processor. Don't know all the other specs. It works fine, but doesn't work without a charger ("on life support", as my dad calls it.). I'll let you know more about it when I get back to the house.

I believe that is a netbook.

I see that N64.

I have a laptop that's around that size. It runs Windows 7. Unfortunately, it runs at the speed of snail, so I only use it when it is absolutely necessary.

compare it to a dollar bill or something

OP discovered netbooks.

so wow

as always
run battlefield 4 on it

we have a butt tonne of them at my school

My mum won a little netbook a few years ago, about the same design, similar style too (but not acer).

They're decent little things if you're just browsing the web or using things along the lines of word documents.
Deffo don't fool yourself into thinking they can run any games though.

Update: Just got back from the store, and booted it up, and--- BSoD. Tried again and again. Even on safe mode. This thing is toasted, unfortunately.

Those things are so slow with their Intel Atoms.

oh hey, we have a cart of those netbooks at school. they're okay but real slow.

I have an Acer Aspire One with an Intel Atom processor as well. Poor little thing can't charge anymore due to a fault in either the battery, AC adapter, or DC power jack. I wish for it to last longer for college work, but since it's an Acer product, chances are that it'll have a short lifespan.

I actually have this exact same laptop.

its a piece of stuff

Give install Manjaro Netbook Edition.

It's very lightweight.

If that fails, Lubuntu.
