Author Topic: Comcast sped up my internet really fast (Speedtest thread)  (Read 1649 times)

I'm switching to cox internet soon so yay

You dont say your internet is bad?

Speedtest is irrelevant, what matters is what you can get in practical application. For example I get between 80 and 90 Mbit/s download speeds on speedtest and I get between 8 and 10 Mbyte/s download speeds in Steam, between 13 and 15 Mbyte/s in Origin and 8 Mbyte/s from most websites. The only times it's lower than those speeds is when the servers are taking a stuff.

It's all about real-world application and stability of application, yo.

Why are people posting their speedtests in here even though they don't have Comcast? Stop

I usually get 50 down and 15 up but I'm on wireless, so....

christ, they sped it up quite a bit

but my download rate on steam remains 180 to 250 kb/s

I'm close to philly but thankfully i somehow avoid the comcast monopoly

cause time warner is bad?

all I've heard is stories about how stuffty they are.

cause time warner is bad?
I wouldn't consider 84, 12, 13 bad

And I get it all free

Speedtest and ISP speed ratings are given in Mbit/s not Mbyte/s. 1Mbit is roughly 0.125 Mbytes
