wait hold on did you get the job or just apply for it?

because those are both WAY DIFFEREnt thingS

fast food isn't all that bad. yeah, there's drama with managers and certain people liking other people and alliances and all that, but in fast food since you're all miserable together you make some great friendships. i've been at arby's over a year now, and yeah it's a sucky job and i don't wake up every morning thinking "oh boy! i can't wait to go to work!" but a lot of the time i end up not minding it.

fast food jobs are great because they're so mindless a lot of the stuff you do becomes automatically engrained in your head. also, it's not like school where you're constantly being graded and followed around to measure your success. yeah, they do check up on your knowledge of the menu and so forth, but those don't actually matter since you're allowed to cheat on those quizzes. they WANT you to succeed and pass, it doesn't matter if you know all of it off the top of the head perfectly, they just want it in there somewhere. a big plus for my particular job too is (and i don't know how common this is but) for college students, the management doesn't lay you off and re-hire you every time you leave for college and then come back. they just put you on hold, so you're still listed as being an employee there and there's no hassle when you need to work on vacation. that's a lot of the reason i stayed even though i still only make $7.25.

that being said i still hate my job and it will definitely not be missed while i'm at college. what i will miss are the people at arby's. :C

this

op we must know

though it's probably the latter.

I might get a job at In-N-Out Burger (can I get any more stereotypical californian?) 'cause I have a bunch of friends who work there and can hook me up with a job no problem. I don't know if it's worth slaving away serving people food for $10 an hr though.

bojangles is awesome
