Looking at the dialogue it is really impossible to see that it is a joke, and I've learned that having someone else put words in your mouth like that is extremely frustrating and irritating, especially if it's a majority on a minority and especially if it's someone you have a lot of respect for. This, coupled with the fact that you were seemingly judging and hating him, and that he had no idea what he did wrong, absolutely warrants a drama topic because it understandably made the OP feel awful.

Do you wanna read the topic before you throw in your two cents? This is why I dislike the Drama board, most things posted here can just be settled between two people privately, and then there are people who just read the OP and none of the posts by the people involved in the situation and throw in their opinion anyways.

People will probably see me now as the guy who is an starfish because they will read the OP and none of my defending posts.

Yes it was a joke, no I don't dislike Myst, no I didn't realize I was actually offending him, no it wasn't an attack on him, no Myst didn't know I was joking, yes this topic is not needed.

I apologized for not letting him in on the joke sooner, whether he wants to forgive me for that is up to him.

The only reply that matters now is Myst's because I've said my peace. If you want to tell me why you think I'm wrong then first read my messages here, then send me a personal message if you think you have something new to say that I haven't addressed already.

I've known Brickman for awhile, and he is in no way a troll. In fact, he is one of the nicer and more respectful users I've known. While the joke may have gone on longer then it should have, that is at most what the case was.

That's true and that's unfortunate, but those few people who do that are not going to make any impact on your life whatsoever, the worst that could happen is some random person will dislike you and possibly even share it with their friends who will then read the topic and hopefully read the whole thing, likely bringing it to the random person's attention that said person is an idiot.

Nobody thinks that you said to OP's face that you hated him, however you made it apparent to the OP that you strongly disliked him and thought you had a good reason to as a 'joke,' without myst having any way to realize it was a joke. I have no idea the extent to which myst reacted, although myst's reaction was obviously bad enough for him/her to feel the need to post a drama topic about it.

I'm sorry but I disagree with PMing you about this because in my view, bringing up more points should only be able to help you right now because if someone has read this far then they probably intend to read your reply, which will undoubtedly raise your reputation with them. In addition, this post is not meant to say you were wrong but rather to say that this is drama worthy. (The two do not mean the same thing)

Just because someone makes a drama topic doesn't mean it needed to be made. Myst never confronted me before he made this topic, which is what he should have done in the first place. Now that he has, he introduced many people who are completely irrelevant to the situation that could have been disputed between just me and him. There was no need for this topic at all.

Because instead of bringing a situation of drama to be discussed to the board, all that happened was more drama was added to the original situation that didn't need to happen at all. So far Myst has barely commented on the matter and I'm left to defend myself to people that didn't need to be involved in the first place.

If the worst that can happen in this situation is my reputation to even a stranger is on the line, where without the topic that wouldn't even be part of the equation, then I have to say I would prefer the latter.

The joke was taken too far and that's it. I apologized for taking it too far. Myst over reacted by making this topic and not confronting me first.
